Fictional UK training exchanges

Choose the response that accurately reads back the instruction. Digits are written as shorthand; this checks content, not spoken pronunciation.

Exchange 1G-ABCD, turn right heading 090.
Exchange 2G-ABCD, squawk 4621.
Exchange 3G-ABCD, hold short of runway 27.

What are you checking?

These exchanges focus on three items requiring readback: heading instructions, SSR codes and runway hold-short instructions. They are a small subset of the readback requirements, not a complete radio course.

Check the instruction, the numbers and the callsign. If you cannot understand an instruction, ask for clarification rather than guessing.

For UK phraseology and spoken number conventions, study CAA CAP 413 alongside your instructor. Local procedures and jurisdictions can differ.
